In September 2007, DOC Film Institute presented a special preview marathon of Ken Burns' newest film, THE WAR at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the Presidio. Burns introduced selected episodes from this new seven-part film about World War II and answered audience questions.
This once-in-a-lifetime viewing experience was held at the state-of-the-art Premier Theater at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the Presidio. This 294-seat theater is normally not open to the public, so this was truly a special weekend for Bay Area film lovers to see THE WAR under optimum conditions with the filmmaker present.
